Casts aren't so bad! If you need a pick-me-up, just watch precious baby Jonas showing off his happy dance! His mom says, "Our first two weeks or so were rough, but he seriously adapted so well, it's like they're just a part of him now!" These clubfoot cuties are so resilient!
Guaranteed to make you smile: Six-month-old Joseph doesn't let B&B get in the way of his moves! B&B can seem overwhelming at first, but just look at how adorably these sweet babies adapt:
And then, after casts and B&B, comes a day clubfoot parents dream about: First steps! Look how joyful this little guy, Enzo, is! His mom, Shannon, writes, "So excited that this happened today! My bilateral clubfoot cutie took his first steps across the room! He is 13 months old ... this is something you can never imagine at the beginning of treatment ... so proud!" We're rooting for you, too, sweet little walker/runner!
From first steps, to hitting the slopes, these kiddos are unstoppable! We may see Rafael in the Olympics someday! His proud mom writes, "This one is for all the new mamas out there just starting out! This is my 20-month-old BCF (bilateral clubfoot) son skiing for the first time today – just like his non-clubfoot brother did at his age! We are so lucky that with proper treatment, nothing stops them! After this run, we did another four runs on the t-bar lift. He was smiling and laughing the whole time!" -Nathalie
We were so moved by this beautiful story of a clubfoot cutie and his dog. We don't think you'll be able to watch without tearing up! Thanks to these clubfoot parents for letting us share such a wonderful video:
Words of Encouragement from Other Clubfoot Families:
We'd vote for this little guy for mayor of our town, too:
“It used to really bug me when people would stop and stare at my baby’s Boots & Bar. However, I have recently discovered that my son thinks that is how you interact with people. So this little kid holds amazing eye contact and then breaks into a huge grin whenever he sees people. What a wonderful gift and wonderful way to develop. He thinks he is just the most important person in town, so he goes around smiling as if he is the mayor! I would vote for you, little one!” –Laurel
