Rock n Play: We have used this for several months. We love that you can plug it in and it will rock for hours at a time, while keeping baby’s head elevated (she had GERD, so this was important to us), and also elevating her legs. This helped us during casts and B&B.
Fisher-Price "Snugga" line: Our baby loves her SnuggaPuppy. It allows her feet to be propped up, which helped both during the casting phase and during the B&B phase.
Playgro Comfy Car: Another CF mom shared that this works really well for assisted sitting. Since there isn't a divider between the legs, it's easy to get your child in and out of the seat in B&B.
Summer Infant 3-Stage Deluxe SuperSeat: Many clubfoot parents love this during B&B, because the tray comes all the way off, so you don't need to unclip the bar from the boots.
Leacho Podster Sling-Style Infant Seat Lounger: One fellow clubfoot parents shared that this was her best purchase for use during casts!
Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up: This works well with B&B (you just have to unclip the bar for a second, put baby in, and clip the bar back in) or during free time! Helps baby practice sitting up.
Beco Gemini Baby Carrier: This works well for us with B&B. It provides support and our baby seems comfortable in it. You can also join the Facebook group "Babywearing for Clubfoot Babies" for other recommendations.
Daydreamer: We haven't tried this, but another clubfoot mom shared that the wide base works really well with B&B!
Fisher Price Ultra Light Day n Night Play Yard: A CF mom told us if we love the Rock n Play, we will also love this on! She said it's like a R&P on top, has a play pen on the bottom, and is small & compact with a carrying pack!
CARSEATS:
After safety, the most imporant thing about selecting a carseat for a clubfoot baby is that it has a wide enough base for the B&B to fit comfortably. Below is a list of carseats that have been recommended by other clubfoot parents (including the two we chose).
Chicco Keyfit 30: We used this for the first several months. The base of the carseat is wide enough that her casts and her B&B fit comfortably.
Chicco Nextfit Zip
Graco 4Ever
Britax ClickTight
Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Carseat
Graco Extend2Fit: We decided to go with this convertible carseat, because we wanted to have plenty of room for our daughter to grow, while still having her be comfortable when she’s wearing her B&B. What sold us on this product was that you can keep your child rear-facing up to 50 pounds, according to Graco’s website. It also includes an extension panel that gives up to five extra inches of legroom.
Fisher-Price Rainforest Healthy Care High Chair: We love this high chair because we don't have to remove the bar when our daughter uses it. The tray is removable, so we just put baby in the chair, strap her in, & click the tray in place!
